Electronic Brachytherapy (eBx) for Gynecological Tumors

Previously Aired - June 25, 2020

Gynecological cancers require, in many cases, the use of brachytherapy as part of the standard course of treatment. The Xoft System is FDA-cleared, CE marked and licensed in a growing number of countries for the treatment of cancer anywhere in the body. It uses a miniaturized x-ray source to deliver a precise, concentrated dose of radiation directly to the tumor site, while minimizing risk of damage to healthy tissue in nearby areas of the body. The Xoft System allows clinicians to perform gynecological brachytherapy with multiple dwell positions to deliver the prescribed dose without the inconvenience of radioactive sources. Learn more about gynecological cancer treatment with the Xoft System from Dr. Arantxa Campos and Dr. Sonia Flamarique from Miguel Servet University Hospital from Zaragoza, Spain.
